Lipedema is a complex diseased fat and connective tissue disorder that is charactarized by excessive deposition of fibrotic fat primarily on the arms, legs, and torso of affected individuals. Lipedema patients can also experience chronic symptoms of pain and inflammation driven by mast cell activation syndrome and connective tissue issues like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
